If you are looking for a unique item to really change how your shower works, then you need to consider investing in a rainfall shower head.
These unique shower heads are no doubt different from anything else that you have used before and they can really offer some unique advantages that other shower heads simply can’t.
In this article, we are going to be doing two things. First off, we are going to be reviewing some rainfall shower heads and letting you know the pros and cons of each model.
Secondly, we are going to be doing a buying guide to tell you some of the great advantages of rainfall shower heads and what to look for when buying one.
To cap this all off, if you want our recommendation for the best rainfall shower head, we would recommend the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head.
Top 5 Rainfall Shower Head in the Market Today:

Best Rainfall Shower Head Reviews:
Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head
To kick off our best rainfall shower head review list, we want to review the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head. This is a high-quality, well-made rainfall-style shower head that we think is a perfect way to start off this review list. It will give you a good understanding of the sort of quality that you can expect to see from the other products on this list.
The first thing that we want to mention is the well-designed nozzles on the Derpras. The Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head is equipped with 324 silicone nozzles. What does the use of silicone do for this particular shower head? Well, the silicone nozzles, unlike metal ones, don’t build-up rust or scale.
If you have ever had the same shower head for a long period of time before (or if you have skipped ahead and read our buying guide), then you know that one of the bigger issues that you have to worry about is the presence of scale building-up in the nozzles, which then reduces the flow of water. This much less of an issue with the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head due to the use of silicone in place of metal for the nozzles.
One placed where the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head does still use metal is in the build of the actual shower head itself. The shower head is made using high-grade stainless steel. The stainless steel is tough, durable, and most importantly, resistant to both rust and corrosion. The last thing that you want is to have to deal with a shower head that is all rusted or corroded because the material used to make it isn’t resistant to those issues.
While the Derpras does lack different modes (which is pretty disappointing, don’t get us wrong), we also have to mention that the base water pressure of the shower head is good. If you read ahead to our best rainfall shower head buying guide, then you will find out that this type of shower head has a reputation for having lower water pressure output.
While that can be true, that is not an issue that we would imagine you encountering when you use the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head.
Before ending the review, there are a few other things that we want to mention. First off, this shower head can be used either by placing it directly over your head or by tilting it a bit. There aren’t a ton of movement options, but you do have some options when it comes to how you can position the shower head.
- Can be adjusted to change how the water hits you.
- Silicone nozzles don’t rust or develop scale.
- Made from high-grade steel that resists rust and corrosion.
- Provides powerful air pressure.
- A bit on the thin and flimsy side.
- Doesn’t have different modes.
SparkPod Shower Head
The next product that we want to review on our best rainfall shower head review list is the SparkPod Shower Head. This is another really great, high-quality shower head that delivers that tried and true rainfall feeling. This shower head is so good, that we wouldn’t be surprised if it was used in hotels, spas, and other places that tend to use rainfall showers.
Something that really impressed us about the SparkPod Shower Head is its durability. This is a surprisingly tough and well-made shower head that can survive things like being dropped or put up with years of heavy use.
What is even more surprising is that the SparkPod manages to be so durable, while also being made entirely out of plastic. That’s right, it is made of plastic with a simple chrome plating. This helps to make the shower head very resistant to both rust and corrosion.
Much like the last shower head that we reviewed on this list, the SparkPod Shower Head comes with silicone nozzles instead of metal ones. Just as with that previous review, the use of silicone nozzles on the shower head helps to prevent the building-up of scale and rust. So, if you have only ever used shower heads with metal nozzles before, then the SparkPod Shower Head is going to require a lot less maintenance than you are used to.
Another key aspect of the SparkPod Shower Head is its extremely easy installation. The shower head is not like many others, which can require tools and a lot of assembly to get up and running. So, if you aren’t that good with your hands, then you don’t have to worry as you can have this shower head installed in just a few minutes. You don’t even have to use any tools.
This is another rainfall shower head that also has a very high water pressure. However, this can be a bit of a double-edged sword because due to the increased water pressure, and the number of holes on the shower head, the SparkPod does end up using noticeably more water than many of the other options on our best rainfall shower head review list.
- Lightweight.
- Very easy to install; no tools required.
- Good water pressure.
- Silicone nozzles to prevent scale build-up.
- Does use a lot of water compared to some other shower heads.
Gurin Shower Head
For the next review on our best rainfall shower head list, we are going to be doing a review of the Gurin Shower Head. We will say upfront that this shower head sort of straddles the line of being a regular shower head and being a rainfall-style head.
For the sake of completeness and giving you more options to choose from on this list, we decided to include it anyways. However, full warning upfront that this is probably going to be slightly different from most other rainfall shower heads that you have used.
Much like the SparkPod shower head that we just finished reviewing, the Gurin Shower Head is also a shower head that is extremely easy to get put together and to install. With the Gurin, there are no tools required and there is no hassle either.
In fact, you can get the Gurin up and running in just 3 easy steps. All you need to do is remove your current shower head, wrap some Teflon tape (included with the shower head) around the shower pipe, and then screw in the Gurin until is very tight and can’t be screwed any further.
In terms of pressure, the Gurin Shower Head delivers pretty good water pressure. It isn’t the highest-pressure option on our review list, but the water certainly comes down hard enough to give you a really “cleansing” shower. You are definitely going to feel clean and relaxed after a session with the Gurin.
This great pressure output is made possible in part because of the some 90 nozzles on the shower head. We should also mention that the Gurin uses rust and scale-resistant nozzles to help prevent the annoying build-up of scale that plagues some other shower heads.
Like we said in the introduction to this review, we do wish it was more adjustable so that it could be placed directly over your head, like most other rainfall shower heads, but it is still an otherwise very good option that we have no issues recommending.
- Rust and scale-resistant nozzles.
- Delivers a satisfying shower experience.
- Good, soothing water pressure.
- Quick and simple installation.
- Not the best example of a rainfall shower head.
- No option to change water flow.
Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head
In the last review on our best rainfall shower head we took a look at the Gurin Shower Head. If you read that review, then you will note that one of our main complaints with that particular shower head was that it wasn’t quite what you would expect a traditional rainfall shower head to operate like.
If that disappointed you at all, then we have good news. In this review, we will be looking at something that most definitely delivers that traditional rainfall shower head experience. The Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head is certainly the type of shower head that you want to invest in if you want something that will deliver an experience that is very close to what you would get in a high-end hotel or spa shower.
Like we just said, the Luxe does a great job of providing a true rainfall experience. The shower head is equipped with a lot of nozzles and it can be positioned at an angle that allows you to actually mimic what standing in the rain feels like.
The water pressure is in that nice sweet spot where it isn’t too light, but it isn’t too heavy either. This lets you get a nice, relaxing shower. Obviously, those wanting a super tough shower head will be disappointed by the water pressure, but there are other, better options on our best rainfall shower head list for those who want something with a lot of power.
In terms of both durability and ease of use, the Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head is pretty consistent with what you have seen so far on our review list. For starters, the nozzles are designed to be resistant to most common shower head problems, including clogging, corrosion, rust, and build-up of scale and hardwater.
So, this shower head should last you for quite a while and you don’t have to do much of anything to keep it running at peak efficiency. Also noteworthy is the fact that the Luxe Shower Head is incredibly easy to install. Much like a few of the other shower heads on this list, it doesn’t require any tools and it can be done in a matter of moments.
- Hassle-free and tool-free installation.
- Delivers an extremely soothing shower experience.
- A very lightweight shower head.
- Sleek chrome finish.
- Doesn’t deliver very high pressure output.
- Can use a lot of water if you aren’t careful.
AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head
The next product that we want to review as part of our search for the best rainfall shower head is the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head. We will say up front that this isn’t the option if you value extreme durability as the AquaDance is actually quite fragile, especially when compared to some of the tougher shower heads that we have reviewed so far. But if that doesn’t bother you, then the AquaDance is an overall pretty good option and it deserves to be on this list.
One thing that we really like about the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head is the sheer number of options that it gives you for changing how you shower. So far on our review list, the shower heads that we have looked at have admittedly been a bit light on options.
That is not a problem that the AquaDance has. It comes with 6 different settings for you to take advantage of. We won’t go into each setting, but know that it includes a pulsating massage setting, a light rain setting, and a higher-pressure setting that is ideal for scrubbing yourself clean.
The nozzles on the AquaDance are designed to be very simple to keep clean. With most convention shower heads, you have to unscrew the shower head completely and then take it apart. You then have to submerge the shower head into a cleaning solution like CLR. However, with the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head, if you notice any mineral or scale build-up, then you just have to scrub the nozzles clean. There is no disassembling required.
So far on this review list, all the shower heads that we have reviewed have been designed to have really sleek, metal looking finishes. This is the standard look, but it doesn’t always mesh well aesthetically with your shower. So, you might also appreciate that the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head has this really classic oiled bronze list.
- Classic oiled bronze design looks unique.
- Comes with 6 different settings to really change how you shower.
- Easy to clean nozzles.
- Isn’t the toughest or most durable option on the list.
Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head
The next rainfall shower head that we want to show you is the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head. Now, if you have been diligently following along with our review list, then you may notice that this shower head bears a lot of similarities to one that we have already reviewed way back at the start of the list, the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head.
It is true that the Qomolangma has a lot in common with that particular shower head. So, if you liked that one, but thought that 16 inches was a bit too big, the 12 inch Qomolangma might be a good alternative.
If you are looking for a real, high-quality rainfall shower experience, then this is easily one of the best choices on the market today. It boasts a great combination of a very large surface area and a large number of nozzles.
Together, these two things help to disperse the water and produce that unique feeling of standing in the rain. It is a very soothing, relaxing shower experience that you just can’t get from a regular shower head.
The Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head is also just a very well-made shower head in general. It is made from rust-resistant, brushed stainless steel. Not only does it look really sleek, but it also holds up very well. It should be a staple of your shower for a very long time.
While we don’t have any real issues with the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head, we should mention that this is quite a large shower head. At around 12 inches in length, it is a fairly large shower head (although not quite as large as the Derpras that started off our review list with). So, it might not work in every shower setup.
- Made with sleek, high-quality stainless steel.
- Brushed with a nickel finish.
- Lots of nozzles and a wide surface area to produce a unique shower experience.
- Delivers a very soothing shower.
- Size might make it impractical in some shower setups.
Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head
Continuing on with our search for the best rainfall shower head, we are taking a look at the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head. This is a shower head that, as you will see from this review, has a lot in common with an earlier product on our review list (the AquaDance). However, we firmly believe that the Aqua Elegante is deserving of its own spot on our review list. This is a very good shower head option.
Much like the AquaDance, the Aqua Elegante boasts a more unique oiled bronze look as opposed to the more traditional chrome finish that most other shower heads sport. So, if you are looking for a shower head that can compliment your current setup better than a chrome-finished shower head can, this might be an option for you to consider.
In terms of performance, the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head has a higher pressure output than the AquaDance did, but this comes at the expense of having less nozzles. So, when considering whether the Aqua Elegante is right for you or not, you have to figure out what you want more, power or relaxation.
The more nozzles on the AquaDance make it better for getting a relaxing, rain-like shower experience. On the other hand, those who want a more substantial shower will probably appreciate the higher pressure output of the Aqua Elegante a lot more.
The nozzles on the shower head, like all of our shower heads on this list, are designed to not clog up or suffer scale or mineral build-up. So, you don’t have to worry about performing regular maintenance on the shower head.
Our only real issue with the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head is that it is a bit pricier than some other shower heads of a comparable quality. The price differential isn’t too large, but it is enough to be noticeable. If you aren’t on any sort of strict budget, then we can’t imagine that this will be any big issue for you, but it is still something to consider.
- Low-maintenance option.
- Fairly high water pressure output.
- Can be angled in a variety of different ways.
- Oiled bronze look.
- A bit pricier than some other shower heads of a comparable quality.
NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head
For the next review on our best rainfall shower head article, we have another shower head that delivers the sort of great rainfall shower experience that you would normally only be able to get by staying at a luxury hotel.
As we will show you in this review, the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head has a very effective and great combination of a wide shower head, lots of nozzles, and good pressure. When you add up all these factors, you end up with a shower head capable of delivering an invigorating and very enjoyable shower.
Let’s start the review by going more in-depth on the 3 factors that we mentioned in the introduction. First off, the shower head is suitably wide, which as you have seen from other reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, helps to disperse the water. This leads to a more mist-like experience which better imitates the experience of staying in the rain. Secondly, the shower head comes with around 90 nozzles on it.
This also helps to disperse the water. Finally, there is the water pressure to talk about. The NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head has above-average water pressure output. This creates a unique situation where the water is widely dispersed, but also still fairly powerful. In our opinion, this creates a great shower experience that most of you will find both cleansing and relaxing.
A problem with the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head that we feel is going to plague quite a few people is that it does eat through hot water quite quickly. This is due to a combination of the wide surface area, the large number of nozzles, and the relatively high water pressure that the shower head is capable of. Depending on the size and quality of your water heater, this might not even end up being an issue, but it is something that we still wanted to mention.
- Provides both a cleansing and relaxing shower experience.
- Can be rotated 360 degrees.
- Lots of nozzles and a wide surface area to create a very rain-like shower experience.
- DSolid stainless steel exterior.
- Will use hot water very quickly.
Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head
The next shower head that we think deserves to be in contention for the title of best rainfall shower head is the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head. This is a squared shaped shower head in the same vein as the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head and the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head, although it does differ somewhat, which is why it is having its own review on this list.
The Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head, like all square shaped shower heads, has a large number of nozzles on it. To be more specific, the Vida is equipped with a whopping 144 nozzles. With so many nozzles, the pressure of the water ends up being a lot more widely dispersed, which creates a more relaxing, rain-like shower experience. One of the main benefits of going with a square shaped shower head is that they tend to have a larger number of nozzles and that is definitely on display with this shower head.
Overall, we expect that you will find that the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head is a very durably made shower head. It is made with solid stainless steel that is obviously resistant to things like rust and corrosion.
While we love the durability of this shower head, we also have to acknowledge that it does bring a downside, which is that the shower head ends up being surprisingly bulky. It isn’t too bad, but the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head does end up being noticeably heavier than many of the other rain fall shower heads that we have reviewed so far (this includes both circle and square heads).
- Built to last you for quite a while.
- 144 nozzles to deliver a satisfying rain-like experience.
- Made from rust-resistant steel for added durability.
- A good option for getting a professional-quality rainfall shower.
- Fairly bulky and heavy.
WarmSpray Rain Shower Head
For the next review on our best rainfall shower head list, we have a real treat of a product to show you. The WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is an extremely affordable, high-quality shower head option that is easily one of the best options on the market right now when it comes to both rainfall shower heads and shower heads in general. So, it is more than deserving of being included on this list alongside the other really high-quality shower heads.
Like most other great rainfall shower heads, the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is a fairly large option. Coming in at a respectable 9 inches, the shower head isn’t the largest that we have reviewed, but it is definitely up there in terms of size.
It is also likely larger than the shower head that you currently have installed in your home. The size of the shower helps to ensure a wider distribution of water when showering, which contributes to that signature feeling of standing in the rain.
If you have been reading the reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, then you may notice that we place a pretty big emphasis on the number of nozzles on the shower head. This is obviously important because more holes mean more water, which means a more enjoyable shower overall.
The WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is equipped with 108 nozzles, which means that there is going to be a very wide dispersal of the water. The nozzles are also self-cleaning to prevent the building-up of mineral deposits.
Something else that is really good about the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is that it is very easy to install. Like a lot of the other high-end shower heads that we have looked at, the WarmSpray doesn’t require any tools to be installed and there is very little hassle involved in the installation process. You can easily have the shower head up and running in under a minute if you know what you are doing.
One issue that we do have with the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is that it is a bit on the flimsy side. This is due to the shower head being made of rather cheap plastic. On the other hand, we also have to say that this does bring some advantages. For example, the plastic is extremely lightweight and it is also fairly inexpensive.
- Large shower head that offers wide dispersion of water.
- 108 self-cleaning nozzles.
- Super simple and quick installation.
- A very lightweight plastic shower head.
- Not as durable as some other shower head options.
NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm
We are yet again reviewing another rainfall shower head from NearMoon. However, whereas the other two products from them on this list are circular shower heads, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm that we are reviewing now is a square shaped rainfall shower head.
We have already reviewed quite a few of these types of showers on our list, so a lot of what we will say will probably be quite familiar to you at this point. Still, the shower head is very well-made, and we wanted to make sure that you got a chance to consider it.
Like all NearMoon shower heads, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm is made with extremely high-quality stainless steel. The stainless steel helps to make the shower head durable and it will ensure that it lasts for a fairly long time.
In terms of overall performance, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm has a great combination of size and power. It is 12 inches large and has 144 nozzles, which as you have no doubt seen from our other reviews, means that this shower head is going to give you a very relaxing experience. Like all other NearMoon shower heads, it also has really great water pressure output. So, you not only get a really relaxing shower, but also a very cleansing one as well.
The biggest issue with the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm is that it isn’t really adjustable. The arm is quite static, and the head can’t be manipulated all that much either. This is a bit of a disappointment, but it isn’t too big of a deal overall.
- Large shower head with 144 nozzles.
- Made from sturdy, durable stainless steel.
- Has that signature NearMoon water pressure output.
- Not very adjustable.
ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head
For the next review on this article, we are going to be doing a review of an extremely high-end rainfall shower head. The ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head is easily one of the best (but also the priciest) entries on our list. This is certainly going to be a good option for those who are looking for a really high-quality rainfall shower head.
First off, the ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head comes with a highly adjustable head that can be changed to fit your preferred angle. You can have it directly over your head for a true rainfall shower experience, or you can adjust it to be at whatever angle you like the best. The shower head leaves it totally up to you.
The nozzles (of which there are over 100) are exceptionally well-made on this shower head. They provide a consistently powerful stream of water. They are also designed to be anti-clogging (meaning they won’t clog up with scale or mineral build-up) and self-cleaning. So, you don’t even have to perform much in the way of maintenance with this particular shower head.
For those who care about looks, you will be glad to know that the ShowerMaxx comes in 3 distinct styles. There is an oiled bronze finish, a chrome finish, and a brass finish that looks almost like gold.
One thing that we will caution people about before investing in the ShowerMaxx Elite Series is that this is a pricey shower head. At around $60, it is noticeably more expensive than any of the other entries that we have viewed so far on this list.
- Low-maintenance shower head.
- Self-cleaning, anti-clogging nozzles.
- Very powerful shower head.
- Head can be adjusted in a wide variety of ways.
- Fairly expensive.
Aisoso Shower Head
This next review on our best rainfall shower head is going to be good for those of you who are on a strict budget and want something that is, above all else, very affordable. We have reviewed some relatively cheap options on this list so far, but the Aisoso Shower Head is the truly best option for those on a strict budget. Coming in at under $15, this is an option that anyone can afford.
Despite being offered at such a low price, the Aisoso Shower Head offers surprisingly decent performance. Obviously, when a product is so inexpensive, you don’t expect it to last forever or to be able to compete in terms of performance with products that cost 3x as much.
But, for the cheap price that you can get it at, there isn’t a whole lot that one can really complain about when it comes to the Aisoso Shower Head. Ultimately, this is the main reason why we felt like it was a good to include it on our best rainfall shower head review list.
- Extremely inexpensive.
- Offers decent performance, given the price.
- Can be setup quickly and easily.
- Won’t last you very long.
NearMoon Rain Shower Head with 11” Adjustable Arm
If you think back to an earlier review on our best rainfall shower head list, then you may recall that we reviewed a product called the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head and gave it quite high reviews.
Well, to end off our review list, we are going to be reviewing another product from them in the form of the NearMoon Rain Shower Head with 11” Adjustable Arm. You may be curious why we are reviewing 2 shower heads from the same brand; after all, how different could they really be. Well, in addition to some minor changes, as you can see from the name of the product, this offering from NearMoon comes with an adjustable arm. So, the addition of this feature helps to make it worthy of having a separate review on the list.
Given that it is by far the most unique feature of the NearMoon, let’s start off the review by talking about its adjustable arm. The arm comes out to a total of around 11 inches and it can be extended or shortened at will.
The idea behind the adjustable arm is that it lets you position the shower head in such a way that it delivers the water exactly the way that you want it delivered. Want to have a more traditional shower experience? Then you can shorten the arm and use it almost like a regular shower head. Want to have a rainfall shower experience? Then you can extend the arm so that the shower head is placed directly above your head. The adjustable arm really does give the shower head a surprising amount of versatility.
Outside of the adjustable arm, this shower head is largely similar to the previous one from NearMoon that we reviewed. This means that it has a lot of self-cleaning nozzles and good water pressure output. So, it delivers a really nice, and more importantly, relaxing, shower experience.
- Adjustable arm lets you position the shower head just how you like it.
- Both shower head and adjustable arm are very well-made.
- Doesn’t require any tools to install.
- Large shower head with plenty of nozzles.
- Great water pressure output.
- Can be a bit cumbersome to install due to adjustable arm.
Rainfall Shower Head Buying Guide
We hope that you found our best rainfall show head review list to be useful. Ideally, you would have found at least a couple of shower heads that you like. As we said way back in the introduction of this article, we weren’t just going to do reviews.
In addition to reviews, we also wanted to include a buying guide to go along with the reviews. As you can see from the subheading, this is that buying guide.
In this buying guide, we are going to cover a variety of topics, including what benefits a rainfall shower head can bring when compared to traditional shower heads and what features you should keep in mind when shopping for one.
What Are Rainfall Shower Heads?
The first thing that we want to do is explain exactly what rainfall shower heads are, as you might not have been able to guess this based on our review list. As part of our review list, we reviewed a fairly wide variety of different rainfall shower heads.
Some were circular and some were rectangular. Many came in different sizes and had different features. So, all of this may lead you to wonder what separates a rainfall shower head from a regular shower head.
As the name suggests, rainfall shower heads are intended primarily to do one thing, which is to emulate the feeling of showering in the rain. To this head, rainfall shower heads are designed with a few different quirks. Generally speaking, most are either circular or rectangular. Most of them also tend to be very large to ensure an even distribution of water.
It is rare to find a rainfall shower head that is under 8 inches across. Many are even larger, with lengths as big as 10 or 12 inches. Finally, most are usually installed to be at unusual angles. Most shower heads are positioned to be just slightly above your head, whereas rainfall shower heads are usually installed so that they are directly above your head.
Benefits Of A Rainfall Shower Head
Alright, now that we are all on the same page regarding what rainfall shower heads are, it is time to start discussing exactly what the benefits of this type of showerhead is when compared to other, more traditional shower heads.
Relaxation
One of the biggest advantages that rainfall shower heads offer is with regards to relaxation. There are some other benefits, but relaxation is definitely the biggest reason to go with this kind of shower head.
If you have never used one of these shower heads before, or if you have never stood in the rain before, then it can be difficult to explain just how relaxing they are. There is something soothing and very unique about having a light water stream fall on your head. Even though regular showers can be pretty soothing, it is difficult to match the sheer relaxation offered by a rainfall shower head.
A Note About Water Pressure
If you look up information about rainfall shower heads online, then you may see some claiming that they are worse off when it comes to water pressure. While this is true for many models (rainfall shower heads are larger and therefore the water is more widely dispersed), many other models are either high-pressure models or they come with options to increase the pressure. So, in addition to getting a relaxing shower experience, you can also get a very cleansing one as well.
Picking Out A Good Rainfall Shower Head
In this section, we are going to go over some of the features that we think you need to keep in mind when shopping for a good rainfall show head. They are the same features that we prioritized when picking models to review on our best rainfall shower head list.
Different Modes
You aren’t always going to want the same kind of shower. Some days you may want a really soft, soothing shower. Other days you may want a harder, more cleansing shower. So, it is a really good idea to do invest in a shower head that comes with multiple modes as this is what will let you choose what kind of shower you have.
As you saw from our best rainfall shower head review list, plenty of these kinds of shower heads come with different modes that range from everything from light mists to heavy-duty rainfall. So, make sure to pick a shower head that has a lot of options.
Scale-Resistant Nozzles
If you have ever had the same shower head for a while, then you no doubt know that they can start to build-up scale after a while. This scale clogs the shower nozzles and seriously impedes water flow.
Obviously, there are methods for cleaning scale out of a shower head, but they can be tricky and time consuming. So, a much better option is to simply invest in a shower head that has scale-resistant nozzles. This prevents the scale build-up in the first place.
Size and Shape
Finally, you want to consider what size and shape you want your shower head to come in. As you saw from the various product reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, shower heads can come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes. They can range from as small as 8 inches to as larger as 12 inches, if not larger. They can also vary in shape, going from circular to rectangular. There isn’t much performance difference, it just comes down to what you prefer and works best in your shower.
