Grohe 27705000 Euphoria Cube Rain Shower Head

To start off our best Grohe rain shower head review list, we are going to be doing a review of the Grohe 27705000 Euphoria Cube Rain Shower Head. As we are going to show you in this review, this shower head is very unique compared to the ones that we have seen so far on our review list.

Unlike your traditional shower head, which is usually very small and circular, a rain shower head tends to be larger and square shaped. While that isn’t going to appeal to everyone, it certainly offers enough unique advantages that it deserves to be included on our review list since it is sure to appeal to a fairly large group of people.

For those unfamiliar with rain shower heads, the concept isn’t too difficult to understand in the slightest. See, these shower heads focus more on relaxation and soothing muscles, as opposed to cleaning.

Don’t get us wrong, a rain shower head is still going to provide enough pressure for you to get a good clean, but that isn’t necessarily the primary focus. The name comes from the fact that the large surface area of the shower head, and the unique angle that they are placed at, replicates the feeling of standing in the rain.

This is what separates rain shower heads from regular ones. It also helps to secure the Grohe 27705000 Euphoria Cube Rain Shower Head a spot on our list since the shower head ends up offering a more unique, therapeutic experience as well.

Just in general, we find that the Grohe 27705000 Euphoria Cube Rain Shower Head is, like most other Grohe shower heads, exceptionally well-made and well-designed. The majority of the shower head is made from ultra durable metal.

The entire thing is then coated in a sleek chrome finish that fits into any bathroom aesthetic. The chrome finish is resistant to most common shower head problems. This includes things as dangerous as rust, corrosion, and physical damage like denting or scratching.

Pros
  • Chrome finish is incredibly sleek.
  • Resistant to physical damage like scratching and denting.
  • Rain shower head provides a therapeutic, relaxing experience.
  • Very durable metal construction.
Cons
  • Large size and unique shape may not be for everyone.

Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head

Moving on with our best Grohe rain shower head list, we wanted to take a look at a slightly more traditional shower head in the form of the Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head.

What makes this more traditional? Well, as you can clearly see for yourself, the Euphoria is not a square shaped shower head, but rather a more traditionally shaped shower head option. So, we felt that this fact, along with the general quality of the shower head, make it a perfect candidate of inclusion on our review list.

First off, the Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head has the same great construction that people have come to expect from Grohe. The shower head, much like the last one that we reviewed, is made of solid, durable metal. This provides a solid base for the rest of the shower head to build off. Also much like the last shower head that we reviewed, the Euphoria is also coated in this really sleek chrome finish.

In terms of performance and features, it is hard to understate just how well-made the Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head is. First off, it is equipped with not one or two, but actually three different operational modes.

So, you have quite a few options for customizing how your shower ends up working. You can pick either a more cleansing mode or a more therapeutic mode (or something in-between); so, there is a shower head mode for each mood. No matter what mode that you end up picking, you can rest assured that the Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head is always going to deliver very adequate water pressure.

Something else that we like is how easy it is to keep the shower head clean. Typically, when you want to clean out a shower head to get rid of limescale build-up, you need to physically disassemble the shower head. You don’t need to do that with the Grohe 26457000 Euphoria 260 Shower Head because it has nozzles that can be cleaned easily and without needing to physically pull the shower head apart.

Pros
  • Three different shower modes.
  • Easy to clean nozzles.
  • Really sleek chrome look.
  • Signature durable Grohe design.
Cons
  • Another very large shower head.

Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan

The next Grohe shower head that we want to take a look at is undoubtedly one of the most feature-heavy and advanced shower heads that they currently offer in the form of the Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan. However, despite being such an advanced shower head, we are confident that it will still appeal to most of you out there because it remains both very affordable and incredibly easy to use.

While it may seem odd to harp on the price of the Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan to start off the review, we really do need to mention that first because of how affordable this shower head is.

While a price of roughly $40 may not seem all that cheap at the start, when you consider the quality of the shower head, the price becomes a lot more reasonable. The Cosmopolitan could have easily been a $100-150 shower head. So, the price is definitely very good when you consider the quality that you are getting.

Speaking of quality, we should now explain exactly what is it that makes the Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan a good shower head that is worth trying. For starters, it comes with an impressive four different shower settings to try out. This includes a regular mode, a rain mode, an O2 mode, and a massaging mode. So, there are plenty of different ways for you to customize your shower experience so that you get maximum enjoyment.

Just in general, the Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan is well-made and it has all of the features that you have no doubt come to expect from a well-made Grohe shower head (assuming that you have been following along with our review list that is).

For example, it sports the signature chrome finish that is both really good looking and very functional as well. Likewise, it solidly built, just like every other option from Grohe that we have reviewed. Finally, it is worth noting that the Grohe 26043001 Tempesta Cosmopolitan also comes with those super important easy to clean nozzles that we have talked about in other reviews on this list.

Pros
  • Reliable and durable.
  • Easy to clean nozzles.
  • Four different modes to pick from.
  • Really simple to install and to use.
Cons
  • Can’t really function as a proper rain shower head, despite having a setting for it.

Rainshower Cosmopolitan 310 Shower Head

The next product that we think deserves a review on our best Grohe rain shower head list is the Rainshower Cosmopolitan 310 Shower Head.

Now, if that name is familiar to you, that is because the last shower head that we reviewed on this list was also from the Cosmopolitan series from Grohe. However, rest assured that there is a wide array of differences between the various shower heads and both are deserving of a separate review on this list.

One of the biggest differences between the two shower heads is size. The Cosmopolitan 310 is definitely the bigger of the two shower heads. As you can see for yourself just by looking at the product picture, the Rainshower Cosmopolitan 310 Shower Head is extremely wide and very large.

To be more precise, it actually boasts an over 12-inch shower face. So, it is actually one of the larger shower heads on our entire best Grohe rain shower head review list. This huge size is a bit of a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, the large size does mean that the shower head has a lot of nozzles, which means that a “rainfall” effect is created. We have already covered in other reviews (and in our buying guide later on) why a rainfall effect in the shower can be a good thing. On the other hand, the large size of the shower head, when combined with its general thinness, does mean that it isn’t the most durable shower head; this is especially evident when you consider how durable other products from Grohe tend to be.

Something else that the Rainshower Cosmopolitan 310 Shower Head has going for it is flow rate. The shower head boasts a flow rate of around 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute). This isn’t the absolute highest flow rate that you can find, but it is definitely pretty high. Furthermore, the shower head is consistent. You aren’t going to find it slowing down regularly, which is nice since some other shower heads aren’t as consistent.

Sadly, we do have to note one other issue with the Rainshower Cosmopolitan 310 Shower Head, which is a lack of shower modes. If you have been following along with the other reviews on our best Grohe rain shower head list, then you no doubt know that a lot of Grohe shower heads have different modes. That, sadly, is not the case here.

Pros
  • Very thin and lightweight.
  • High flow rate (2.5 GPM).
  • Lots of nozzles to create a good rainfall effect.
Cons
  • A bit thin and flimsy compared to some other Grohe models.
  • Only one spray option.

Grohe 27815001 Rainshower Shower Head

For the final review on our list, we wanted to take a look at a really heavy-duty shower head from Grohe. That is where the Grohe 27815001 Rainshower Shower Head comes into play. This is without a doubt the most heavy-duty option that we have featured on our entire best Grohe rain shower head list.

One of the best things about the Grohe 27815001 Rainshower Shower Head is its consistency. The shower head is equipped with advanced technology that helps to ensure that the shower head never loses any pressure.

You will always have a very consistent flow of water. Likewise, limescale build-up in the nozzles is a non-issue because the nozzles are extremely easy to keep clean.

Another thing that is amazing about the Grohe 27815001 Rainshower Shower Head (although it certainly isn’t unique to this particular shower head) is how well-made it is.

By now, you have no doubt come to expect that Grohe shower heads are going to be well-made and this particular shower head definitely continues that tradition. The exterior is both resistant to physical damages and scratches. It is easily able to maintain its sleek look, even through very heavy use.

The biggest issue that we have with the Grohe 27815001 Rainshower Shower Head has to do with its weight. This is undoubtedly a very heavy shower head and we can easily imagine it causing a whole host of problems for those trying to install it. It isn’t a completely unworkable problem, but it is something to consider before you fully commit to buying this particular shower head.

Pros
  • Built-up limescale can be cleaned without a hassle.
  • Delivers consistently high water pressure.
  • Scratch and damage-resistant design.
  • Maintains a very sleek look, even with a lot of use.
Cons
  • Very heavy shower head.

Shower Head Buying Guide

Best Grohe Rain Shower Head

If you think way back to the very start of our best Grohe shower head review article, then you may recall that we talked a lot about how buying a shower head can be surprisingly more complex than you would initially think.

Given that we didn’t really get a chance to do that in our shower head review list article, we figured that we would include some more information in this supplemental buying guide. In this guide, we are going to tell you everything that you need to know when it comes to the art of buying a good shower head.

Rain Shower Heads Vs Regular Ones

One of the first things that you need to consider when shopping is exactly what kind of shower head it is that you want. Naturally, many of you are going to have the same reaction to this comment, which is “wait, there are different kinds of shower heads?” Yes, as you saw from our best Grohe shower head review list, there are two broad categories that shower heads can be put into, rain shower heads and regular shower heads.

As you saw from our review list, rain shower heads are generally much bigger than regular shower heads. They also tend to be differently shaped as well (square as opposed to circular). The main benefit of rain shower heads is therapeutic.

They can be placed at unique angles and their larger size enables them to put more water on your body. This creates a therapeutic effect that really makes the shower a lot more soothing. Of course, the downside to rain shower heads is that their bigger size makes it a lot more difficult for them to fit into regular showers.

Why Grohe?

Another question that we need to answer is why you should go for a Grohe shower head in the first place. This is a question that needs answering, after all, there are about a thousand and one different shower head brands out there, including many good ones, so why focus exclusively on Grohe? Well, as you saw from our best Grohe rain shower head list, they are clearly dedicated to making high-quality shower heads. However, we wanted to go into a bit more detail in this buying guide.

Grohe shower heads are consistently well-made. They have strong exteriors that are able to resist a wide array of physical damage, including scratches. Likewise, Grohe shower heads are extremely easy to keep clean.

You can easily wipe away any built-up limescale, which is one of the biggest issue when it comes to shower heads. Mineral build-up refocuses flow rate, which negatively impacts your shower experience. So, being able to easily get rid of it is very helpful.

Moen S1004 Collection 12-Inch Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head

To start off our search for the best Moen rain shower head, we are going to be doing a review of what is undoubtedly one of the most high-end options out there from Moen.

The Moen S1004 Collection 12-Inch Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head is the sort of super high-quality shower head that one would normally find in an up-scale salon, spa, or hotel. So, naturally it has to be included on our review list.

The first thing that you are likely going to notice about the Moen S1004 Collection 12-Inch Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head is its size. As you can see quite plainly from the product name, the Moen is a 12-inch shower head. This is something of a double-edged sword however.

On the one hand, the large size is great because it allows Moen to include a huge number of nozzles on the shower head. As you will learn throughout the rest of this list, the number of nozzles on a shower head is super important because of how it influences the overall therapeutic nature and effectiveness of the shower head.

This is especially true when dealing with rain shower heads. On the other hand, 12-inches is rather large and it could definitely lead to installation issues and comfort issues in smaller shower areas. So, that is going to be a big factor in determining whether this shower head is right for you.

Speaking of nozzles, we should now go into how this shower head performs, the answer is quite well. Rest assured that when we say that the Moen S1004 Collection 12-Inch Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head is a spa-quality shower head, that it is definitely the case.

The Moen effectively delivers a therapeutic and massaging shower experience. It also does this very consistently as well. The water pressure and temperature remain consistent when using the shower head, which we know is going to be important for everyone.

Something else that we need to mention before we end the review is the overall design and construction of the shower head. The Moen is both a strong and heavy shower head. The exterior is coated in a solid chrome finish which both makes it look very sleek and gives it an important layer of protection. This is definitely another good bonus to consider when talking about the Moen.

Finally, we want to discuss the price of the shower head. As you might guess just based on what we have discussed so far in this review, this is a pricey shower head. It is easily one of Moen’s most expensive home offerings. So, budget sensibilities are something to keep in mind before purchasing.

Pros
  • Large shower head that supports a lot of nozzles.
  • Well-made chrome finish.
  • Extremely consistent performance.
Cons
  • One of Moen’s most expensive offerings.
  • Probably a bit too big for some showers.

Moen 6300BN One-Function Easy Clean XL Shower Head

The next entry on our review list is going to be fairly unique for an odd reason. See the Moen 6300BN One-Function Easy Clean XL Shower Head is not shaped like your traditional rain shower head.

As one look at the rest of this list will quickly tell you, the average rain shower head, regardless of brand, is either a rectangle or a square. This is meant to maximize the number of nozzles that can be fit on the head.

The 6300BN, as you can plainly see, is not a square or rectangle. However, as you will see in this review, this is still an exceptionally well-made shower head and we think it deserves to be on this list for just that reason.

Before getting too much into the review itself, we want to explain a bit more why the Moen 6300BN One-Function Easy Clean XL Shower Head is being included, since it isn’t a traditional rainfall shower head.

Rain shower heads work by delivering an enormous amount of pressure spread over a wide area and also by being able to spread the water over a large area (hence emulating the feeling of rain). The 6300BN is such a well-made shower head that it is capable of replicating, in many ways, the experience you would get from a normal rain shower head, so we are still including it.

Given that this is a Moen shower head, you know that it is both exceptionally well-made and very durable. The exterior is made using brushed nickel, which is extremely tough. With even the barest minimum of maintenance, you should be able to keep this shower head in near perfect condition for decades.

Plus, the nozzles are designed in such a way to resist the development of mineral build-up, so you have to do even less maintenance than you would on a normal shower head, which is an extra nice bonus.

Furthermore, actually getting the shower head up and running isn’t difficult in the slightest. Even someone with no technical knowledge or skills can have this connected in a few minutes.

Pros
  • Very easy to install and set up.
  • Brushed nickel finish.
  • Great water pressure that is consistent.
  • Reliable Moen construction can last for a long time.
Cons
  • Not shaped like a traditional rain shower head.

Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head

The next offering from Moen that we want to take a look at on our best Moen rain showerhead list is the Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head. This is another good example of the sorts of very high-quality shower heads that one can expect to get from Moen.

As you will see in our review, despite being smaller than your average rain shower head, the Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head brings a lot of the great features that you have come to know and expect from Moen products to the table.

For starters, the Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head is a very powerful shower head. It is designed to really maximize the amount of force coming out of each nozzle, which helps to give this shower head a lot of power.

Power is a key component of the rainfall shower experience because it is a big part of what makes the experience actually therapeutic and worth doing.

Something that is a bit of a give and take situation when it comes to the Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head is its size. On the one hand, the fact that it is only 7 inches does mean that it is a bit small to deliver a true rain shower experience.

On the other hand, the Moen does have some unique features that help to make up for the smaller size. For example, it boasts a unique rainfall mode that helps to simulate the experience of rain.

Another thing to note about this particular shower head from Moen is its really strong design. If you have been diligently reading along our best Moen rain shower head review list, then you no doubt know that these shower heads are generally well-made.

However, even by the lofty standards of this list the Moen 21007 Vitalize 7-Inch Single Function Shower Head really stands out as being well-crafted. It is very strong, and the sleek chrome finish helps to add an extra layer of both durability and style.

Pros
  • Extremely durable and well-crafted.
  • Small, so it can fit in all showers.
  • Very powerful pressure output.
  • Unique rainfall setting.
Cons
  • A bit small for a true rain shower head.

Moen S1001 Collection 8″ Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head

Moving on with our search for the best Moen rain showerhead, we want to take a look at something that is most definitely a rainfall shower head. One look at the Moen S1001 Collection 8″ Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head is enough to tell you that this is not your standard shower head.

As you can see, it opts for a unique design that is very flat and wide. This differentiates it from your standard showerhead, which is typically quite bulky. So, let’s take a look at it now.

The first thing to note is that the extremely thin size of this showerhead brings some serious advantages to the table. First off, it allows a large number of nozzles to be included.

As we have said countless times during the course of this review list, more nozzles means more water hitting down on you, which means a more therapeutic experience overall. It also offers surprisingly high water pressure, despite being such a thin shower head.

A small, but surprisingly useful feature that you will find on the Moen S1001 Collection 8″ Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head is its nozzles. That may sound odd at first but hear us out. All showerheads suffer from mineral build-up. This isn’t a problem with the showerhead itself, but the natural result of minerals being in the water.

Mineral build-up is especially annoying when it comes to rain shower heads because they need every available nozzle, otherwise, the experience of using it is lessened. Now, cleaning out mineral build-up in a showerhead can be tricky and annoying.

However, the nozzles on the Moen S1001 Collection 8″ Razor Thin Rainshower Shower Head not only resist the build-up of minerals but they also make it a lot easier to clean as well.

Pros
  • Delivers a comfortable, therapeutic shower experience.
  • Nozzles are super simple to clean.
  • Nozzles are resistant to mineral build-up.
  • Really well-made and likely to last for a while.
Cons
  • Unique shape and thickness make it not as durable as other Moen shower heads.

Moen 6303EP Collection 3.5-Inch Single Function Eco-Performance Shower Head

The final product on our best Moen rain showerhead list is going to be the Moen 6303EP Collection 3.5-Inch Single Function Eco-Performance Shower Head. This is a good showerhead for a variety of reasons, as you will see in our review, but the primary reason why we wanted to include it on this list is because of its price, as we will explain shortly.

Price is a big factor in justifying this showerhead’s inclusion on this list. We recognize that so far on our best Moen rain showerhead list that we haven’t had a true budget option, so we wanted to really make sure that we included at least one option that was good for people who either can’t or don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a spa-quality showerhead.

That is where the Moen 6303EP Collection 3.5-Inch Single Function Eco-Performance Shower Head comes into play. Being available for under $40 makes this easily the cheapest showerhead on our review list. Perfect for those on a tight budget.

Of course, this is still a Moen product and they still have certain standards to uphold. So, you know that while the showerhead is a bit on the cheap side, it still manages to produce performance that is at least similar to the performance offered by other showerheads on this list.

This is evident in a number of factors. The showerhead itself is as solidly built as you would expect a Moen showerhead to be. It also has a surprising number of nozzles, so it still offers that great, therapeutic rainfall shower experience.

Pros
  • Cheapest Moen option on our list.
  • Still well-made, despite low cost.
  • Offers a fairly good, rain shower experience.
Cons
  • Pressure could afford to be a bit higher.

What Are Rain Showerheads And Why You Need To Give Them A Try

Best Moen Rain Shower Head

We hope that you walked away from our best Moen rain showerhead review list with a good opinion on what the best rain showerhead options are.

In this second part of our article, we are going to do something quite a bit different, which is focus on what rain showerheads are and why you should consider giving them a try. This may seem like an obvious question at first, but that isn’t going to be the case for everyone.

Consider how pricey some of the options on our review list were. It wasn’t uncommon to see some rain showerheads go for as high as $200-300. Given this large price (when compared to other showerheads), it is only normal to wonder if they are actually worth it. That is what we are going to answer.

What Are Rain Showerheads?

Rain showerheads are a type of luxury showerhead (although saying that, you can often find budget-friendly options out there).

Where as regular showerheads are focused entirely on delivering high water pressure through a small number of nozzles (so as to maximize the cleaning power of the showerhead), rain showerheads aim to do the exact opposite.

They focus on delivering water through as many nozzles as possible. While many rain showerheads do have decent pressure output, that is not their main focus.

The idea behind a rain showerhead is in the name itself. They are meant to simulate the feeling of standing in the main. While rain can be heavy, usually it is quite light, so rain showerheads try to emulate that as best as they can.

They are also often designed to be placed directly over your head, instead of at an angle like regular showerheads usually are.

Why To Try Them?

Simply put, the number one reason to try a rain showerhead is because of their therapeutic benefits. If you go back to the introduction of our best Moen rain showerhead list, you will remember the various areas that we mentioned as often having rain showerheads.

They were spas, upscale hotels, and resorts. Again, the reason for this is because these showerheads deliver a really unique experience.

It is hard to describe it if you have never felt it before, but there is something intensely therapeutic about standing in the rain. It feels really unique and there is nothing really like it.

While one could, in theory anyway, attempt to recreate the experience with a regular showerhead, it just wouldn’t be the same. If you want a true rainfall showerhead experience, then you just need to invest in a proper rain showerhead, like one of the ones on our best Moen rain showerhead review list.

Conclusion

If you want to give us some feedback on our best Moen rain showerhead list, feel free to leave us a comment down below. We welcome any and all feedback.

Best Kohler Rain Shower Head Reviews:

Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower Head

For the first offering on our list looking for the best Kohler rain shower head, we have an extremely high-end entry for you to take a look at. The Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower Head is undoubtedly a very pricey option (it costs +$500). But if you are willing to look past that, then you are going to be getting a very well-made shower head that can deliver a top-quality rainfall shower experience.

As you can see from the product picture, this shower head is designed to be placed directly over your head. This means that the water will always be falling g directly upon you.

This is important because many other rainfall shower heads try to operate at an angle, which reduces the experience. By being placed directly over you when showering, the Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower head ensures that you get an experience that is a lot more therapeutic. It will truly feel like you are standing in a relaxing rainfall.

To help improve the therapeutic experience, the Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower Head is also equipped with Katalyst Spray Technology.

What this does is ensure that the water pressure from the shower head is both powerful enough to clean you, while also being light enough to still be relaxing and therapeutic. The Kohler is capable of achieving a max output of around 2.5 gallons per minute thanks to the unique spray technology.

A big part of buying a shower head is buying one with nozzles that aren’t going to get clogged easily. No one wants to have to take apart their shower head constantly to clean out annoying mineral build-up that plagues every shower head eventually.

Thankfully, this is less of an issue with the Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower Head because it is equipped with translucent nozzles that resist mineral build-up, which lets you spend less time cleaning.

Pros
  • Mineral-resistant nozzles make for less maintenance.
  • Delivers a cleansing and relaxing rainfall shower experience.
  • Very sleek, fancy design.
  • Powerful flow rate of 2.5 GPM.
Cons
  • Very expensive as far as shower heads go.

Kohler K-45123-CP Alteo Single-Function Shower Head

For the next review on our article looking at the best Kohler shower head, we are going to be taking an in-depth look at a shower head that is quite different from the one that we looked at.

If you will recall, in the last review on this list we reviewed a very expensive, luxury option from Kohler. For the next review, we are going to be taking a look at something that is a good deal more affordable in the form of the Kohler K-45123-CP Alteo Single-Function Shower Head.

This still features the same great quality that is found on most Kohler shower heads, while also being a lot easier on your wallet.

For example, the Kohler K-45123-CP Alteo Single-Function Shower Head is made using the same sort of high-quality materials that the other Kohler shower head is made with. It is made using tough, reliable stainless steel.

So, you can trust that the shower head is going to last for a decent while at the very least. Likewise, it also comes equipped with the same MasterClean spray face. This spray face is equipped with nozzles that are both easy to clean and also resistant to the build-up of things like hard water and minerals.

Like we said in the previous review, this may seem like a small feature, but it can really end up saving you quite a bit of time because you don’t have to constantly clean out the shower head.

In terms of performance, the Kohler K-45123-CP Alteo Single-Function Shower Head is about what you would expect. The water is therapeutic, and it has roughly the same flow rate (2.5 GPM) as pretty much every other shower head from Kohler that we have looked at or will look at on our best Kohler rain shower head review list.

The biggest issue we have with this particular shower head is that it doesn’t actually come with any of the stuff that you need to get the shower head installed. This includes both the shower arm and the flange.

Given the relatively low cost of the Kohler K-45123-CP Alteo Single-Function Shower Head, this is fairly understandable. However, it still would have been nice to not have to potentially buy separate parts.

Pros
  • That reliable Kohler quality.
  • Fairly inexpensive, especially given how well-made it is.
  • Spray holes that resist mineral build-up.
  • Good flow rate.
Cons
  • Doesn’t come with wall mount or flange.

Kohler K-72419-Cp Awaken G110 Multifunction Showerhead

Moving on with our look at Kohler shower heads, we have something that is undoubtedly quite a bit different from anything else that we have looked at so far on our review list. The Kohler K-72419-Cp Awaken G110 Multifunction Showerhead, as you can see from the product name, is not a traditional rainfall shower head.

Instead, it is a multifunction showerhead that is designed to fulfill a variety of different roles, including that of a rainfall shower head. However, despite this fact, we still feel that it is worthy of being included on our best Kohler rain shower head list, since it is still a well-made shower head.

First off, we want to talk about how the shower head performs overall. While this isn’t a rainfall shower head in the strictest sense, it can still be used as one. It isn’t as big as we would normally want a rainfall shower head to be, but it still works decently well overall.

Those looking for a true rainfall shower head should look elsewhere on this list. If, however, you are looking for a shower head that is both functional and therapeutic, then the Kohler K-72419-Cp Awaken G110 Multifunction Showerhead isn’t a bad option since it can be used reliably as both a regular shower head and a rainfall shower head.

One unique feature on this shower head that we haven’t seen anywhere else on this review list is the presence of a “targeted” shower option. Basically, how this works is the shower head can be set so that only a few nozzles work at once (the small circle of nozzles that you see in the center).

These nozzles shoot out a concentrated stream of water. This is great for massaging sore points on your body. It also lets you do something really relaxing which is start off by focusing on specific muscles with the targeted stream, then switch over to a full body rain stream for general relaxation. Changing between modes is also very simple.

Pros
  • Very stylish and sleek chrome finish.
  • Targeted stream for massaging your muscles.
  • Hybrid shower head with lots of modes.
  • Very easy to use.
Cons
  • A bit small for a true rainfall shower experience.

Kohler 10282-Ak-Cp Forte Wall-Mount Showerhead

For our next product review on this best Kohler rain shower head review list, we have yet another fairly affordable option from Kohler in the form of the Kohler 10282-Ak-Cp Forte Wall-Mount Showerhead.

This shower head isn’t revolutionary or anything like that, but it is a very well-crafted shower head that is available at a good price and that comes from this reliable brand. So, it was a very easy decision on our part to include it on this review list alongside the many other great options from Kohler.

For starters, we want to say that unlike the last shower head that we took a look at, the 10282-Ak-Cp is most definitely a dedicated rainfall shower head. This isn’t a multi-functioning shower head at all.

It delivers a classic rainfall shower head experience, meaning that it is the same sort of experience one would get if they were to go to a top of the line spa or hotel (or any other place that typically features rainfall shower heads).

A big part of the reason why the Kohler 10282-Ak-Cp Forte Wall-Mount Showerhead is such a good option when it comes to providing a rainfall experience because of special air catalyst induction technology. What this does is created a more aerated water spray, which is a lot more therapeutic and relaxing.

Something else about the Kohler 10282-Ak-Cp Forte Wall-Mount Showerhead that we really enjoy is the nozzles. Like a lot of other high-end shower heads on the market today (both from Kohler and other brands like Moen and Delta), the Kohler shower head is equipped with an easy to clean nozzle system.

Not only is it resistant to the build-up of things like minerals and hard water, but in the event that there is build-up, cleaning it out is a lot simpler than it would be with a lot of other shower heads. You just have to wipe away the build-up, no disassembly of the shower head is required.

Pros
  • Uses special technology to create a soothing aerated spray.
  • Signature Kohler flow rate.
  • Straightforward installation process.
  • Shower face is resistant to mineral build-up and is simple to clean.
Cons
  • Produces a good deal of noise.

Kohler K-15996-CP Flipside multifunction wall-mount Shower Head

For the final review on our best Kohler rain shower head article, we are going to be taking a look at the Kohler K-15996-CP Flipside multifunction wall-mount Shower Head. This shower head shares quite a bit in common with a previous entry on our review list, the Kohler K-72419-Cp Awaken G110 Multifunction Showerhead.

As you can see from both product names, the main similarity between both the K-15996-CP and the K-72419-Cp is the fact that both are multifunctioning shower heads, as opposed to being more dedicated rainfall shower heads. However, we still felt that the K-15996-CP deserved a spot on our list because of how well-made it is.

The first thing that we want to mention is that this shower head, like all multifunctioning options, comes with a variety of different modes for you to take advantage of. To be more specific, you can set the Kohler K-15996-CP Flipside multifunction wall-mount Shower Head to one of four modes.

There is a coverage spray mode, a soft spray mode, a massage mode, and a circular spray mode. If you want a rain-like experience, then the soft spray mode is the best option for you. While some may be disappointed that this isn’t a traditional rainfall shower head, we imagine that many others will appreciate being able to have some variety when it comes to their shower experience.

We also imagine that the price point of the Kohler K-15996-CP Flipside multifunction wall-mount Shower Head will be a big selling point for many of you reading this. While we wouldn’t exactly call the shower head “cheap,” it is fairly inexpensive compared to quite a few other shower heads. The price point becomes even better when you consider the overall quality of the product.

Pros
  • A reasonably priced option.
  • Good value for your money.
  • Comes with 4 showering options.
  • Durable and well-built.
Cons
  • Not a dedicated rainfall shower head.

Rain Shower Head Buying Guide

Kholer Rain Shower Head

In this short add-on to our main review list, we are going to do a short buying guide that will tell you what to look for when buying a rain shower head. This is the same criteria and thought process that we used when evaluating products to feature on our Kohler rain shower head review list.

Dedicated Rain Shower Heads or Multipurpose

One of the main divides on our review list was between pure rain shower heads like the Kohler K-13692-SN 8-Inch Traditional Round Rain Shower Head and multipurpose shower heads like the Kohler K-72419-Cp Awaken G110 Multifunction Showerhead. You can probably tell the main differences between the two just by looking at the names and by reading our reviews.

However, just to make sure that we are all on the same page, we should reiterate that the main difference is that rainfall shower heads only have one mode and are intended to provide a pure rain-like experience.

On the other hand, multipurpose options are the jack of all trades, but master of none. They can act as rainfall shower heads, but they aren’t going to be as good at the job as dedicated options. However, some may appreciate the added versatility and options that it gives them.

Preventing Mineral Build-Up

In our opinion, one of the best features that you can look for when shopping for a shower head of any kind is a mineral-resistant shower face. All shower heads accumulate a build-up of minerals like calcium because these minerals are naturally present in your water in small amounts.

These minerals build-up and ruin the flow of your shower head. Thankfully, some shower heads have shower faces that are resistant to mineral build-up (including many on our Kohler rain shower head review list).

Likewise, it is a good idea to invest in a shower head that is, above all else, easy to clean. Even mineral-resistant shower heads are going to need to be cleaned eventually. When that happens, you want a shower head that is going to be as simple and hassle-free to clean as possible.

Some shower heads can make cleaning them a major hassle as you have to take off the shower head and take it apart so that the shower face can be soaked in a cleaning solution. Other shower heads simply allow you to wipe away excess mineral build-up, which saves you a lot of time.

Power

Different shower heads have different power levels. Some people find higher power outputs more soothing in the shower, while others like lighter power outputs. Regardless of your own personal preferences, there is one very clear way to tell how powerful a particular shower head is. That is by looking at its flow rate, which is measured in gallons per minute.

The GPM of a shower head can range from as little as 1 to as high as 2.5 or even 3. Shower heads with a higher GPM are obviously going to use a lot more water, but they are also going to give you a much more powerful shower.

Conclusion

If you want to give us some feedback on our Kohler rain shower article, we would welcome it and encourage it. You can tell us what you thought by leaving us a comment down below.

Delta Rain Shower Head Reviews

Delta Faucet 52158-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head

The first rainfall shower head from Delta that we want to review is the Delta Faucet 52158-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head. As you already know, if you read our introduction anyway, this is not our pick for the overall best Delta Rain Shower Head.

However, this is still a very good way to start off the article in our view because this shower head really demonstrates the sort of quality that you can get when you go with a Delta product. They are a top tier manufacturer of shower heads for a reason and the 52158-25 shows what they can pull off.

First off, this is the first circular shower head that we are reviewing. As you will see from our review list, rainfall shower heads can come in one of two styles, circular or square shaped shower heads. This is the former. As far as circular options go, the Delta Faucet 52158-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head is actually quite wide.

As you will see from other reviews on this list, a wide rainfall shower head is great because it helps to disperse the water more widely and create a more natural rainfall feel. While smaller rainfall shower heads can have some advantages, wider ones give you an experience closer to what you would get in a hotel.

This is a very well-made shower head overall and it is reflective of the sort of high-quality shower heads that Delta makes. It is made of a combination of stainless steel with a chrome finish. This helps to keep the shower head working well for years and years. A big issue some shower heads have is that while parts of them may be well-made, other parts are not.

Many shower heads try to get away with having a well-made body, but then weak connectors. That is definitely not the case with the Delta Faucet 52158-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head. It not only has a well-made body, but it also has a durable metal connector that isn’t going to snap or break.

Another thing to keep in mind is how adjustable the shower head is. Not every shower head is equally adjustable, which can cause some issues. Again, the Delta Faucet 52158-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head impresses here because it is a highly adjustable option. You can adjust it so that it is positioned like a regular shower head, at an angle, or completely over your head.

Pros
  • Highly adjustable shower head.
  • Wide to ensure proper water distribution.
  • Metal connector is durable and built to last.
  • Overall great design, very durable.
Cons
  • Only comes with a single setting.

Delta Faucet 52159-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head

If you pay close attention to the product name, then you may notice that this next entry on our best delta rain shower head shares quite a bit in common with the product name of the last Delta shower head that we looked at. In fact, the only thing differentiating them is a single number.

The first Delta shower head was the 52158-25, while this one, as you can see is, the 52159-25. The main difference between the two is their shape. The Delta Faucet 52159-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head is the first square shaped shower head that we are going to be reviewing.

What advantages do square shaped shower heads bring to the table? Well, there isn’t too much of a difference in overall performance. However, square shaped options like the one that we are reviewing now do tend to be a bit bigger and they also have more holes.

All this means that the water ends up being dispersed over an even wider area, which contributes to a more therapeutic, rain-like shower. It also has the negative effect of drastically increasing hot water usage, which is something that you are also going to want to keep in mind.

Aside from the difference in shape, there isn’t a whole lot that we really need to go in-depth about when it comes to the Delta Faucet 52159-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head. This largely shares the same features as the 52158-25 that we reviewed earlier.

To give you some examples of what we mean, consider the design of this shower head. It is made from the same mixture of tough steel and sleek chrome. Likewise, the 52159-25 is also equipped with that really useful durable metal ball to help keep the shower head firmly attached. Finally, it can also be easily adjusted to fit whatever angle you like the best.

Overall, the Delta Faucet 52159-25 Single-Setting Metal Raincan Shower Head is the sort of high-quality shower head that we have come to expect from Delta.

Pros
  • Nice, large square shape.
  • Wide water distribution for a more therapeutic experience.
  • Stainless steel design for durability.
  • Can be adjusted to fit your preferences.
Cons
  • Will drain hot water quickly.
  • Fairly pricey.

Delta Faucet Single-Spray Touch-Clean Rain Shower Head

Moving on with our review list, we are going to be taking a look at the Delta Faucet Single-Spray Touch-Clean Rain Shower Head. This is the second square shaped shower head that we are reviewing as part of our best Delta Rain Shower Head article.

So, to a certain extent you are going to be going into this review with a good idea of what to expect from the shower head. However, this particular entry from Delta does have some fairly unique features that make it a great option for its own individual review on this list.

For starters, like all of Delta’s shower heads, the Delta Faucet Single-Spray Touch-Clean Rain Shower Head is incredibly well-made. The bulk of the shower head is made using extremely tough, reliable steel. You can trust that the shower head will hold up through years and years of extremely heavy use.

Sadly, unlike the previous two products that we reviewed on our best Delta rain shower head list, this one does no feature that signature sleek chrome finish that we have come to appreciate. So, if having a really sleek, shiny shower head matters to you, then you better look elsewhere as this probably isn’t the option for you.

In addition to being very durably built, the shower head also performs extremely well. Since this is a large, square shaped shower head it really disperses the water to create a light shower experience that is more akin to standing in a light rainfall than standing in a shower. It is a great option for those looking for a more therapeutic experience than is offered by your typical shower head.

One unique feature on the Delta Faucet Single-Spray Touch-Clean Rain Shower Head that we haven’t seen so far on any other shower head is the presence of easy to clean nozzles.

If you use a shower heady for any substantial length of time, it is going to start developing build-up that interferes with the flow of water. This build-up usually takes the form of minerals, hardwater, and more. With some shower heads, cleaning out this build-up can be difficult (we will cover why later).

However, this Delta shower head makes it super simple thanks to some easy to clean nozzles. Rather than having to take apart the shower head and submerge them in cleaning solution, you can just wipe the nozzles clean. It saves you a lot of time and effort.

Pros
  • Easy to clean nozzles.
  • Durable and well-made.
  • Provides a light, therapeutic shower experience.
Cons
  • Lacks the sleek chrome finish of other Delta models.

Delta Faucet Vero 14 Series Single-Function Shower Head

The next entry from Delta that we want to review on our best Delta Rain shower head article is a really unique looking shower head called the Delta Faucet Vero 14 Series Single-Function Shower Head. If you are looking for a deeply stylish shower head option that is also very functional, then you owe it to yourself to check out this shower head.

Even though not everyone will consider it to be of the same value, the first thing that we actually want to start off talking about is the overall look of the shower head. So far, every shower head that we have reviewed for our best Delta rain shower head article has been sporting a metal or chrome finish.

While that suits the vast majority of people, we imagine that at least some of you will want something different. That is where the Delta Faucet Vero 14 Series Single-Function Shower Head comes into play. This shower head features a nice, brass finish that almost resembles gold. It can give your shower a more unique and different look.

Something else that is extremely unique about the Delta Faucet Vero 14 Series Single-Function Shower Head is a built-in temperature control system. Depending on how your house’s plumbing is set up, you may be one of those people who has to suffer through constant temperature fluctuations due to people flushing toilets or people turning on sinks in different areas of the house.

With this Delta shower head that isn’t a problem. The shower head automatically detects sudden temperature changes and regulates the water to keep it at roughly the same temperature that you had it set at before the disruption.

Outside of that, the Delta Faucet Vero 14 Series Single-Function Shower Head is a pretty standard square shaped rainfall shower head. It features that reliable Delta construction that will ensure that the shower head lasts for a while. It is also a surprisingly simple shower head to clean.

Pros
  • Very easy to clean.
  • Prevents sudden changes in water temperature.
  • Nice brass finish.
  • Nozzles can be cleaned just by wiping.
Cons
  • The shower head isn’t very adjustable.

Delta Faucet Single-Spray Rain Shower Head RP62955

For the final review on our best Delta rain shower head review list, we are going to be doing a review of the Delta Faucet Single-Spray Rain Shower Head RP62955. This is a fairly well-made shower head and one that we have no issues recommending overall. We will say upfront however, that this is a cheaper Delta shower head option than the other options that we have seen so far.

To help achieve that lower than average price, Delta clearly had to compromise somewhat on the quality of the shower head. It is still a well-made option, which is why it is being featured on the list in the first place.

Like we said in the introduction to this review, one of the main reasons to go for this particular entry from Delta is because how inexpensive it is. At the same time, it still features pretty much of all the classic Delta features that you have come to expect. For example, it still comes equipped with easy to clean nozzles.

Pros
  • Inexpensive.
  • Nozzles are easy to clean.
  • Good performance and durability, given the cost.
Cons
  • Seal around the back of the shower head could be better.

Rainfall Shower Head Buying Guide

Delta Rain Shower Head

In this second part of our best Delta rain shower head article, we want to quickly go over what to consider when buying a rainfall shower head. The purpose of this guide is to focus on what features you should consider when shopping and why.

Shape

As you saw from our review list, rainfall shower heads come in roughly two different types. Circular options and square options. On our list, we generally featured more square shaped shower heads, but there isn’t actually much of a performance difference between the two shapes.

Square options tend to be a bit bigger and thus disperse the water more (which is better for creating a therapeutic effect). However, this isn’t too big of a deal and you should feel comfortable going with whatever one fits your shower better.

Size

On that note, we should talk about size. Some low-quality manufacturers will try to get away with selling smaller shower heads (under 10 inches) as “rainfall shower heads.” However, this really isn’t true.

Rainfall shower heads are generally always on the bigger side. Most are at least 12 inches, if not larger. The larger a shower head, the more therapeutic it is going to feel and the more water it will use. If you see something being labeled a “rainfall” shower head that is smaller, then you should avoid it as it isn’t going to be all that different from a regular shower head.

Durability and Overall Construction

Something that we focused on quite a bit during our best Delta rain shower head review list was the importance of making sure that you buy a shower head that is built to last. Assuming that you are sticking with Delta shower heads (and why wouldn’t you after reading our article), then this isn’t a problem that you really have to worry about.

Basically every Delta product that we could find (and every product that we reviewed) was made from super high-quality stainless steel. Stainless steel is, of course, a very tough and reliable material.

So, you don’t need to have any concerns about durability if you go with Delta. Of course, if you go with another brand, then you are going to have to pay attention to make sure that the product is well-made and that the shower head will actually hold up during repeated use.

Nozzle Cleaning

As we mentioned once or twice during our review article, every shower head needs to have it nozzles cleaned. It is an unavoidable fact that as a shower gets used, tiny minerals are going to start building up inside the nozzles.

This mineral build-up will ruin the flow of your water and it will make your rainfall shower head nearly useless. So, you need to clean your rainfall shower head, that is unavoidable. What can be avoided is unnecessary hassle. Some shower heads are designed to be a whole lot easier to clean than other shower heads. In particular, you want shower heads that don’t need to be taken apart to be able to be cleaned.

Best Rainfall Shower Head Reviews:

Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head

To kick off our best rainfall shower head review list, we want to review the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head. This is a high-quality, well-made rainfall-style shower head that we think is a perfect way to start off this review list. It will give you a good understanding of the sort of quality that you can expect to see from the other products on this list.

The first thing that we want to mention is the well-designed nozzles on the Derpras. The Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head is equipped with 324 silicone nozzles. What does the use of silicone do for this particular shower head? Well, the silicone nozzles, unlike metal ones, don’t build-up rust or scale.

If you have ever had the same shower head for a long period of time before (or if you have skipped ahead and read our buying guide), then you know that one of the bigger issues that you have to worry about is the presence of scale building-up in the nozzles, which then reduces the flow of water. This much less of an issue with the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head due to the use of silicone in place of metal for the nozzles.

One placed where the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head does still use metal is in the build of the actual shower head itself. The shower head is made using high-grade stainless steel. The stainless steel is tough, durable, and most importantly, resistant to both rust and corrosion. The last thing that you want is to have to deal with a shower head that is all rusted or corroded because the material used to make it isn’t resistant to those issues.

While the Derpras does lack different modes (which is pretty disappointing, don’t get us wrong), we also have to mention that the base water pressure of the shower head is good. If you read ahead to our best rainfall shower head buying guide, then you will find out that this type of shower head has a reputation for having lower water pressure output.

While that can be true, that is not an issue that we would imagine you encountering when you use the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head.

Before ending the review, there are a few other things that we want to mention. First off, this shower head can be used either by placing it directly over your head or by tilting it a bit. There aren’t a ton of movement options, but you do have some options when it comes to how you can position the shower head.

Pros
  • Can be adjusted to change how the water hits you.
  • Silicone nozzles don’t rust or develop scale.
  • Made from high-grade steel that resists rust and corrosion.
  • Provides powerful air pressure.
Cons
  • A bit on the thin and flimsy side.
  • Doesn’t have different modes.

SparkPod Shower Head

The next product that we want to review on our best rainfall shower head review list is the SparkPod Shower Head. This is another really great, high-quality shower head that delivers that tried and true rainfall feeling. This shower head is so good, that we wouldn’t be surprised if it was used in hotels, spas, and other places that tend to use rainfall showers.

Something that really impressed us about the SparkPod Shower Head is its durability. This is a surprisingly tough and well-made shower head that can survive things like being dropped or put up with years of heavy use.

What is even more surprising is that the SparkPod manages to be so durable, while also being made entirely out of plastic. That’s right, it is made of plastic with a simple chrome plating. This helps to make the shower head very resistant to both rust and corrosion.

Much like the last shower head that we reviewed on this list, the SparkPod Shower Head comes with silicone nozzles instead of metal ones. Just as with that previous review, the use of silicone nozzles on the shower head helps to prevent the building-up of scale and rust. So, if you have only ever used shower heads with metal nozzles before, then the SparkPod Shower Head is going to require a lot less maintenance than you are used to.

Another key aspect of the SparkPod Shower Head is its extremely easy installation. The shower head is not like many others, which can require tools and a lot of assembly to get up and running. So, if you aren’t that good with your hands, then you don’t have to worry as you can have this shower head installed in just a few minutes. You don’t even have to use any tools.

This is another rainfall shower head that also has a very high water pressure. However, this can be a bit of a double-edged sword because due to the increased water pressure, and the number of holes on the shower head, the SparkPod does end up using noticeably more water than many of the other options on our best rainfall shower head review list.

Pros
  • Lightweight.
  • Very easy to install; no tools required.
  • Good water pressure.
  • Silicone nozzles to prevent scale build-up.
Cons
  • Does use a lot of water compared to some other shower heads.

Gurin Shower Head

For the next review on our best rainfall shower head list, we are going to be doing a review of the Gurin Shower Head. We will say upfront that this shower head sort of straddles the line of being a regular shower head and being a rainfall-style head.

For the sake of completeness and giving you more options to choose from on this list, we decided to include it anyways. However, full warning upfront that this is probably going to be slightly different from most other rainfall shower heads that you have used.

Much like the SparkPod shower head that we just finished reviewing, the Gurin Shower Head is also a shower head that is extremely easy to get put together and to install. With the Gurin, there are no tools required and there is no hassle either.

In fact, you can get the Gurin up and running in just 3 easy steps. All you need to do is remove your current shower head, wrap some Teflon tape (included with the shower head) around the shower pipe, and then screw in the Gurin until is very tight and can’t be screwed any further.

In terms of pressure, the Gurin Shower Head delivers pretty good water pressure. It isn’t the highest-pressure option on our review list, but the water certainly comes down hard enough to give you a really “cleansing” shower. You are definitely going to feel clean and relaxed after a session with the Gurin.

This great pressure output is made possible in part because of the some 90 nozzles on the shower head. We should also mention that the Gurin uses rust and scale-resistant nozzles to help prevent the annoying build-up of scale that plagues some other shower heads.

Like we said in the introduction to this review, we do wish it was more adjustable so that it could be placed directly over your head, like most other rainfall shower heads, but it is still an otherwise very good option that we have no issues recommending.

Pros
  • Rust and scale-resistant nozzles.
  • Delivers a satisfying shower experience.
  • Good, soothing water pressure.
  • Quick and simple installation.
Cons
  • Not the best example of a rainfall shower head.
  • No option to change water flow.

Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head

In the last review on our best rainfall shower head we took a look at the Gurin Shower Head. If you read that review, then you will note that one of our main complaints with that particular shower head was that it wasn’t quite what you would expect a traditional rainfall shower head to operate like.

If that disappointed you at all, then we have good news. In this review, we will be looking at something that most definitely delivers that traditional rainfall shower head experience. The Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head is certainly the type of shower head that you want to invest in if you want something that will deliver an experience that is very close to what you would get in a high-end hotel or spa shower.

Like we just said, the Luxe does a great job of providing a true rainfall experience. The shower head is equipped with a lot of nozzles and it can be positioned at an angle that allows you to actually mimic what standing in the rain feels like.

The water pressure is in that nice sweet spot where it isn’t too light, but it isn’t too heavy either. This lets you get a nice, relaxing shower. Obviously, those wanting a super tough shower head will be disappointed by the water pressure, but there are other, better options on our best rainfall shower head list for those who want something with a lot of power.

In terms of both durability and ease of use, the Luxe RainLuxe Shower Head is pretty consistent with what you have seen so far on our review list. For starters, the nozzles are designed to be resistant to most common shower head problems, including clogging, corrosion, rust, and build-up of scale and hardwater.

So, this shower head should last you for quite a while and you don’t have to do much of anything to keep it running at peak efficiency. Also noteworthy is the fact that the Luxe Shower Head is incredibly easy to install. Much like a few of the other shower heads on this list, it doesn’t require any tools and it can be done in a matter of moments.

Pros
  • Hassle-free and tool-free installation.
  • Delivers an extremely soothing shower experience.
  • A very lightweight shower head.
  • Sleek chrome finish.
Cons
  • Doesn’t deliver very high pressure output.
  • Can use a lot of water if you aren’t careful.

AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head

The next product that we want to review as part of our search for the best rainfall shower head is the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head. We will say up front that this isn’t the option if you value extreme durability as the AquaDance is actually quite fragile, especially when compared to some of the tougher shower heads that we have reviewed so far. But if that doesn’t bother you, then the AquaDance is an overall pretty good option and it deserves to be on this list.

One thing that we really like about the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head is the sheer number of options that it gives you for changing how you shower. So far on our review list, the shower heads that we have looked at have admittedly been a bit light on options.

That is not a problem that the AquaDance has. It comes with 6 different settings for you to take advantage of. We won’t go into each setting, but know that it includes a pulsating massage setting, a light rain setting, and a higher-pressure setting that is ideal for scrubbing yourself clean.

The nozzles on the AquaDance are designed to be very simple to keep clean. With most convention shower heads, you have to unscrew the shower head completely and then take it apart. You then have to submerge the shower head into a cleaning solution like CLR. However, with the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head, if you notice any mineral or scale build-up, then you just have to scrub the nozzles clean. There is no disassembling required.

So far on this review list, all the shower heads that we have reviewed have been designed to have really sleek, metal looking finishes. This is the standard look, but it doesn’t always mesh well aesthetically with your shower. So, you might also appreciate that the AquaDance Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head has this really classic oiled bronze list.

Pros
  • Classic oiled bronze design looks unique.
  • Comes with 6 different settings to really change how you shower.
  • Easy to clean nozzles.
Cons
  • Isn’t the toughest or most durable option on the list.

Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head

The next rainfall shower head that we want to show you is the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head. Now, if you have been diligently following along with our review list, then you may notice that this shower head bears a lot of similarities to one that we have already reviewed way back at the start of the list, the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head.

It is true that the Qomolangma has a lot in common with that particular shower head. So, if you liked that one, but thought that 16 inches was a bit too big, the 12 inch Qomolangma might be a good alternative.

If you are looking for a real, high-quality rainfall shower experience, then this is easily one of the best choices on the market today. It boasts a great combination of a very large surface area and a large number of nozzles.

Together, these two things help to disperse the water and produce that unique feeling of standing in the rain. It is a very soothing, relaxing shower experience that you just can’t get from a regular shower head.

The Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head is also just a very well-made shower head in general. It is made from rust-resistant, brushed stainless steel. Not only does it look really sleek, but it also holds up very well. It should be a staple of your shower for a very long time.

While we don’t have any real issues with the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head, we should mention that this is quite a large shower head. At around 12 inches in length, it is a fairly large shower head (although not quite as large as the Derpras that started off our review list with). So, it might not work in every shower setup.

Pros
  • Made with sleek, high-quality stainless steel.
  • Brushed with a nickel finish.
  • Lots of nozzles and a wide surface area to produce a unique shower experience.
  • Delivers a very soothing shower.
Cons
  • Size might make it impractical in some shower setups.

Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head

Continuing on with our search for the best rainfall shower head, we are taking a look at the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head. This is a shower head that, as you will see from this review, has a lot in common with an earlier product on our review list (the AquaDance). However, we firmly believe that the Aqua Elegante is deserving of its own spot on our review list. This is a very good shower head option.

Much like the AquaDance, the Aqua Elegante boasts a more unique oiled bronze look as opposed to the more traditional chrome finish that most other shower heads sport. So, if you are looking for a shower head that can compliment your current setup better than a chrome-finished shower head can, this might be an option for you to consider.

In terms of performance, the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head has a higher pressure output than the AquaDance did, but this comes at the expense of having less nozzles. So, when considering whether the Aqua Elegante is right for you or not, you have to figure out what you want more, power or relaxation.

The more nozzles on the AquaDance make it better for getting a relaxing, rain-like shower experience. On the other hand, those who want a more substantial shower will probably appreciate the higher pressure output of the Aqua Elegante a lot more.

The nozzles on the shower head, like all of our shower heads on this list, are designed to not clog up or suffer scale or mineral build-up. So, you don’t have to worry about performing regular maintenance on the shower head.

Our only real issue with the Aqua Elegante Rainfall Shower Head is that it is a bit pricier than some other shower heads of a comparable quality. The price differential isn’t too large, but it is enough to be noticeable. If you aren’t on any sort of strict budget, then we can’t imagine that this will be any big issue for you, but it is still something to consider.

Pros
  • Low-maintenance option.
  • Fairly high water pressure output.
  • Can be angled in a variety of different ways.
  • Oiled bronze look.
Cons
  • A bit pricier than some other shower heads of a comparable quality.

NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head

For the next review on our best rainfall shower head article, we have another shower head that delivers the sort of great rainfall shower experience that you would normally only be able to get by staying at a luxury hotel.

As we will show you in this review, the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head has a very effective and great combination of a wide shower head, lots of nozzles, and good pressure. When you add up all these factors, you end up with a shower head capable of delivering an invigorating and very enjoyable shower.

Let’s start the review by going more in-depth on the 3 factors that we mentioned in the introduction. First off, the shower head is suitably wide, which as you have seen from other reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, helps to disperse the water. This leads to a more mist-like experience which better imitates the experience of staying in the rain. Secondly, the shower head comes with around 90 nozzles on it.

This also helps to disperse the water. Finally, there is the water pressure to talk about. The NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head has above-average water pressure output. This creates a unique situation where the water is widely dispersed, but also still fairly powerful. In our opinion, this creates a great shower experience that most of you will find both cleansing and relaxing.

A problem with the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head that we feel is going to plague quite a few people is that it does eat through hot water quite quickly. This is due to a combination of the wide surface area, the large number of nozzles, and the relatively high water pressure that the shower head is capable of. Depending on the size and quality of your water heater, this might not even end up being an issue, but it is something that we still wanted to mention.

Pros
  • Provides both a cleansing and relaxing shower experience.
  • Can be rotated 360 degrees.
  • Lots of nozzles and a wide surface area to create a very rain-like shower experience.
  • DSolid stainless steel exterior.
Cons
  • Will use hot water very quickly.

Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head

The next shower head that we think deserves to be in contention for the title of best rainfall shower head is the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head. This is a squared shaped shower head in the same vein as the Derpras 16 Inch Square Rain Shower Head and the Qomolangma 12 Inch Rain Brushed Shower Head, although it does differ somewhat, which is why it is having its own review on this list.

The Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head, like all square shaped shower heads, has a large number of nozzles on it. To be more specific, the Vida is equipped with a whopping 144 nozzles. With so many nozzles, the pressure of the water ends up being a lot more widely dispersed, which creates a more relaxing, rain-like shower experience. One of the main benefits of going with a square shaped shower head is that they tend to have a larger number of nozzles and that is definitely on display with this shower head.

Overall, we expect that you will find that the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head is a very durably made shower head. It is made with solid stainless steel that is obviously resistant to things like rust and corrosion.

While we love the durability of this shower head, we also have to acknowledge that it does bring a downside, which is that the shower head ends up being surprisingly bulky. It isn’t too bad, but the Vida Alegría RAIN Shower Head does end up being noticeably heavier than many of the other rain fall shower heads that we have reviewed so far (this includes both circle and square heads).

Pros
  • Built to last you for quite a while.
  • 144 nozzles to deliver a satisfying rain-like experience.
  • Made from rust-resistant steel for added durability.
  • A good option for getting a professional-quality rainfall shower.
Cons
  • Fairly bulky and heavy.

WarmSpray Rain Shower Head

For the next review on our best rainfall shower head list, we have a real treat of a product to show you. The WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is an extremely affordable, high-quality shower head option that is easily one of the best options on the market right now when it comes to both rainfall shower heads and shower heads in general. So, it is more than deserving of being included on this list alongside the other really high-quality shower heads.

Like most other great rainfall shower heads, the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is a fairly large option. Coming in at a respectable 9 inches, the shower head isn’t the largest that we have reviewed, but it is definitely up there in terms of size.

It is also likely larger than the shower head that you currently have installed in your home. The size of the shower helps to ensure a wider distribution of water when showering, which contributes to that signature feeling of standing in the rain.

If you have been reading the reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, then you may notice that we place a pretty big emphasis on the number of nozzles on the shower head. This is obviously important because more holes mean more water, which means a more enjoyable shower overall.

The WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is equipped with 108 nozzles, which means that there is going to be a very wide dispersal of the water. The nozzles are also self-cleaning to prevent the building-up of mineral deposits.

Something else that is really good about the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is that it is very easy to install. Like a lot of the other high-end shower heads that we have looked at, the WarmSpray doesn’t require any tools to be installed and there is very little hassle involved in the installation process. You can easily have the shower head up and running in under a minute if you know what you are doing.

One issue that we do have with the WarmSpray Rain Shower Head is that it is a bit on the flimsy side. This is due to the shower head being made of rather cheap plastic. On the other hand, we also have to say that this does bring some advantages. For example, the plastic is extremely lightweight and it is also fairly inexpensive.

Pros
  • Large shower head that offers wide dispersion of water.
  • 108 self-cleaning nozzles.
  • Super simple and quick installation.
  • A very lightweight plastic shower head.
Cons
  • Not as durable as some other shower head options.

NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm

We are yet again reviewing another rainfall shower head from NearMoon. However, whereas the other two products from them on this list are circular shower heads, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm that we are reviewing now is a square shaped rainfall shower head.

We have already reviewed quite a few of these types of showers on our list, so a lot of what we will say will probably be quite familiar to you at this point. Still, the shower head is very well-made, and we wanted to make sure that you got a chance to consider it.

Like all NearMoon shower heads, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm is made with extremely high-quality stainless steel. The stainless steel helps to make the shower head durable and it will ensure that it lasts for a fairly long time.

In terms of overall performance, the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm has a great combination of size and power. It is 12 inches large and has 144 nozzles, which as you have no doubt seen from our other reviews, means that this shower head is going to give you a very relaxing experience. Like all other NearMoon shower heads, it also has really great water pressure output. So, you not only get a really relaxing shower, but also a very cleansing one as well.

The biggest issue with the NearMoon Rain Shower Head With Extension Arm is that it isn’t really adjustable. The arm is quite static, and the head can’t be manipulated all that much either. This is a bit of a disappointment, but it isn’t too big of a deal overall.

Pros
  • Large shower head with 144 nozzles.
  • Made from sturdy, durable stainless steel.
  • Has that signature NearMoon water pressure output.
Cons
  • Not very adjustable.

ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head

For the next review on this article, we are going to be doing a review of an extremely high-end rainfall shower head. The ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head is easily one of the best (but also the priciest) entries on our list. This is certainly going to be a good option for those who are looking for a really high-quality rainfall shower head.

First off, the ShowerMaxx Elite Series High Pressure Rainfall Shower Head comes with a highly adjustable head that can be changed to fit your preferred angle. You can have it directly over your head for a true rainfall shower experience, or you can adjust it to be at whatever angle you like the best. The shower head leaves it totally up to you.

The nozzles (of which there are over 100) are exceptionally well-made on this shower head. They provide a consistently powerful stream of water. They are also designed to be anti-clogging (meaning they won’t clog up with scale or mineral build-up) and self-cleaning. So, you don’t even have to perform much in the way of maintenance with this particular shower head.

For those who care about looks, you will be glad to know that the ShowerMaxx comes in 3 distinct styles. There is an oiled bronze finish, a chrome finish, and a brass finish that looks almost like gold.

One thing that we will caution people about before investing in the ShowerMaxx Elite Series is that this is a pricey shower head. At around $60, it is noticeably more expensive than any of the other entries that we have viewed so far on this list.

Pros
  • Low-maintenance shower head.
  • Self-cleaning, anti-clogging nozzles.
  • Very powerful shower head.
  • Head can be adjusted in a wide variety of ways.
Cons
  • Fairly expensive.

Aisoso Shower Head

This next review on our best rainfall shower head is going to be good for those of you who are on a strict budget and want something that is, above all else, very affordable. We have reviewed some relatively cheap options on this list so far, but the Aisoso Shower Head is the truly best option for those on a strict budget. Coming in at under $15, this is an option that anyone can afford.

Despite being offered at such a low price, the Aisoso Shower Head offers surprisingly decent performance. Obviously, when a product is so inexpensive, you don’t expect it to last forever or to be able to compete in terms of performance with products that cost 3x as much.

But, for the cheap price that you can get it at, there isn’t a whole lot that one can really complain about when it comes to the Aisoso Shower Head. Ultimately, this is the main reason why we felt like it was a good to include it on our best rainfall shower head review list.

Pros
  • Extremely inexpensive.
  • Offers decent performance, given the price.
  • Can be setup quickly and easily.
Cons
  • Won’t last you very long.

NearMoon Rain Shower Head with 11” Adjustable Arm

If you think back to an earlier review on our best rainfall shower head list, then you may recall that we reviewed a product called the NearMoon High Pressure Shower Head and gave it quite high reviews.

Well, to end off our review list, we are going to be reviewing another product from them in the form of the NearMoon Rain Shower Head with 11” Adjustable Arm. You may be curious why we are reviewing 2 shower heads from the same brand; after all, how different could they really be. Well, in addition to some minor changes, as you can see from the name of the product, this offering from NearMoon comes with an adjustable arm. So, the addition of this feature helps to make it worthy of having a separate review on the list.

Given that it is by far the most unique feature of the NearMoon, let’s start off the review by talking about its adjustable arm. The arm comes out to a total of around 11 inches and it can be extended or shortened at will.

The idea behind the adjustable arm is that it lets you position the shower head in such a way that it delivers the water exactly the way that you want it delivered. Want to have a more traditional shower experience? Then you can shorten the arm and use it almost like a regular shower head. Want to have a rainfall shower experience? Then you can extend the arm so that the shower head is placed directly above your head. The adjustable arm really does give the shower head a surprising amount of versatility.

Outside of the adjustable arm, this shower head is largely similar to the previous one from NearMoon that we reviewed. This means that it has a lot of self-cleaning nozzles and good water pressure output. So, it delivers a really nice, and more importantly, relaxing, shower experience.

Pros
  • Adjustable arm lets you position the shower head just how you like it.
  • Both shower head and adjustable arm are very well-made.
  • Doesn’t require any tools to install.
  • Large shower head with plenty of nozzles.
  • Great water pressure output.
Cons
  • Can be a bit cumbersome to install due to adjustable arm.

Rainfall Shower Head Buying Guide

Best Rainfall Shower Head

We hope that you found our best rainfall show head review list to be useful. Ideally, you would have found at least a couple of shower heads that you like. As we said way back in the introduction of this article, we weren’t just going to do reviews.

In addition to reviews, we also wanted to include a buying guide to go along with the reviews. As you can see from the subheading, this is that buying guide.

In this buying guide, we are going to cover a variety of topics, including what benefits a rainfall shower head can bring when compared to traditional shower heads and what features you should keep in mind when shopping for one.

What Are Rainfall Shower Heads?

The first thing that we want to do is explain exactly what rainfall shower heads are, as you might not have been able to guess this based on our review list. As part of our review list, we reviewed a fairly wide variety of different rainfall shower heads.

Some were circular and some were rectangular. Many came in different sizes and had different features. So, all of this may lead you to wonder what separates a rainfall shower head from a regular shower head.

As the name suggests, rainfall shower heads are intended primarily to do one thing, which is to emulate the feeling of showering in the rain. To this head, rainfall shower heads are designed with a few different quirks. Generally speaking, most are either circular or rectangular. Most of them also tend to be very large to ensure an even distribution of water.

It is rare to find a rainfall shower head that is under 8 inches across. Many are even larger, with lengths as big as 10 or 12 inches. Finally, most are usually installed to be at unusual angles. Most shower heads are positioned to be just slightly above your head, whereas rainfall shower heads are usually installed so that they are directly above your head.

Benefits Of A Rainfall Shower Head

Alright, now that we are all on the same page regarding what rainfall shower heads are, it is time to start discussing exactly what the benefits of this type of showerhead is when compared to other, more traditional shower heads.

Relaxation

One of the biggest advantages that rainfall shower heads offer is with regards to relaxation. There are some other benefits, but relaxation is definitely the biggest reason to go with this kind of shower head.

If you have never used one of these shower heads before, or if you have never stood in the rain before, then it can be difficult to explain just how relaxing they are. There is something soothing and very unique about having a light water stream fall on your head. Even though regular showers can be pretty soothing, it is difficult to match the sheer relaxation offered by a rainfall shower head.

A Note About Water Pressure

If you look up information about rainfall shower heads online, then you may see some claiming that they are worse off when it comes to water pressure. While this is true for many models (rainfall shower heads are larger and therefore the water is more widely dispersed), many other models are either high-pressure models or they come with options to increase the pressure. So, in addition to getting a relaxing shower experience, you can also get a very cleansing one as well.

Picking Out A Good Rainfall Shower Head

In this section, we are going to go over some of the features that we think you need to keep in mind when shopping for a good rainfall show head. They are the same features that we prioritized when picking models to review on our best rainfall shower head list.

Different Modes

You aren’t always going to want the same kind of shower. Some days you may want a really soft, soothing shower. Other days you may want a harder, more cleansing shower. So, it is a really good idea to do invest in a shower head that comes with multiple modes as this is what will let you choose what kind of shower you have.

As you saw from our best rainfall shower head review list, plenty of these kinds of shower heads come with different modes that range from everything from light mists to heavy-duty rainfall. So, make sure to pick a shower head that has a lot of options.

Scale-Resistant Nozzles

If you have ever had the same shower head for a while, then you no doubt know that they can start to build-up scale after a while. This scale clogs the shower nozzles and seriously impedes water flow.

Obviously, there are methods for cleaning scale out of a shower head, but they can be tricky and time consuming. So, a much better option is to simply invest in a shower head that has scale-resistant nozzles. This prevents the scale build-up in the first place.

Size and Shape

Finally, you want to consider what size and shape you want your shower head to come in. As you saw from the various product reviews on our best rainfall shower head list, shower heads can come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes. They can range from as small as 8 inches to as larger as 12 inches, if not larger. They can also vary in shape, going from circular to rectangular. There isn’t much performance difference, it just comes down to what you prefer and works best in your shower.

Leaving Us Feedback

This brings us to the end of our best rainfall shower head article. We do have one favor to ask you. If you have any feedback or questions relating to either our review list or our buying guide, then we would heavily encourage you to make use of our comment section down below.
